Methodology
A transparent scoring model built on publicly verifiable criteria.
Scoring overview
Each clinic receives a composite score out of 100. The score is the weighted sum of five sub-scores, each itself rated on a 0–100 scale. Weights are fixed for the 2026 index cycle so that rankings are comparable across clinics.

Data sources
- Official accreditation registries: JCI, TEMOS, ISO 9001
- Clinic-published technology and team disclosures
- Manufacturer partner directories (e.g., Amann Girrbach, Straumann Group)
- International patient service documentation and aftercare policies
- Publicly stated branch locations and years of operation
Normalisation
Each criterion is scored independently, then multiplied by its weight. The weighted values are summed to produce the composite score. Ties are broken by accreditation depth, then by technology score, then by international care score.
Update cadence
The full index is refreshed annually. Corrections to individual clinic records are made during the cycle when a verified change is reported and confirmed.
