Privacy Policy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This policy explains how turkeydentalratings.com (“Turkey Dental Ratings”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you visit this site. Turkey Dental Ratings is an independent editorial index. We do not provide dental treatment, take bookings, or process patient health data.

1. Information We Collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to operate and improve the index.

  • Anonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate country or region, referring source, device type, browser and screen size, and time spent on pages, collected through analytics in aggregated form.
  • Technical log data — data your browser sends automatically, such as IP address (truncated or anonymised where supported), user agent, and request timestamps, used for security and reliability.
  • Information you send us — if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in the message.

We do not collect health information, do not ask for account registration, and do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

2. How We Use Information

  • Operate, secure, and maintain the availability of the site.
  • Improve the site experience — understanding which clinic profiles, methodology sections, and articles are useful, and where navigation fails.
  • Protect ranking integrity — detecting automated traffic, scraping, or manipulation attempts against the index. Analytics data is never used to alter a clinic’s score; scores follow the published methodology only.
  • Respond to questions, corrections, and data protection requests.

Our legal bases under GDPR and UK GDPR are legitimate interests (running a secure, functional site and maintaining editorial integrity) and consent (non-essential cookies and analytics, where consent is required).

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use two categories, and we do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site profiling cookies.

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These are set without consent because the site cannot operate correctly without them.
  • Analytics — first- and third-party cookies or local storage used to measure aggregated traffic and page performance. These are used on the basis of your consent.

You can accept cookies through the banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which makes the banner appear again. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely; blocking them will not prevent access to any part of this site.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of processors and service providers. Each acts under its own privacy terms:

  • Google Analytics — aggregated audience and traffic measurement.
  • Google Search Console — search performance reporting. It reports aggregated query and click data and does not identify individual visitors.
  • Hosting and content delivery providers — serve the site and process technical log data for delivery and security.

Some providers are located outside the EEA and the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.

Clinic profiles link to external websites and official registries. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

5. Your Rights under GDPR & UK GDPR

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to: access your personal data; request rectification of inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing, including profiling; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, email us using the contact details below. We respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

Retention: aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 14 months; email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the matter and any related records.
